So since I have an abundance of time not spent on writing this blog, I’ve instead dedicated it to doing super fun work at my University / College Campus. It’s an art open house given I’m an art student and all. So today was set up, which two of my works (the better ones) made it up on to the display walls while I also larned the joy of installing / displaying art works in a gallery like fashion. Yay.
Also one of the perks while the open house is happening is that there’s a chance to demo / participate in open house. And it so happens that the Print Studio needed some demo help. Yay. So May 1st and 2nd I get to have the pleasure of making art for demonstartion and personal purposes and since like only one other person wanted to help doing it, I get a print room to myself with a stereo.
Now what’s most enjoyable is that I don’t have to compete with aboot 20 other people trying to get work done as per the joys of class work. More so as I’m the only one doing a reduction woodcut, I get an entire press machine to work on. To put things in a little perspective, when class time is happening and people are trying to get work done, it typically takes about 40 mins to do a print. But with no one stopping me, I can probably do it in 15 minutes and I got a whole lot to do.
So over all things are looking great and if it’s good enough, I’ll sell out and make a mint… or enough to pay for everything. And if I’m not lazy, results will be shown.
