As with any production or creation anyone works on bringing to life an important question that should always be asked is ‘am I doing this right?’. Because let’s be honest, in todays media savvy, cameras everywhere and the youtubes, you can be sure to get as many hits and attention doing it wrong than you would do it right and awesome. But sometimes, doing it wrong can be the only way to do it right. So this week, here are some things that seem very wrong but have ended up being the absolutely right thing to do.
Bangs – Take you to the Movie
I didn’t just stumble across this accidentally. Like most crap I’m exposed to, a friend had shown it to me while under the influences of many ounces of alcohol. Even sober this is actually kind of awesome, and even more so semi or fully drunk. You wouldn’t know it, but by now I bet this dude is taking all the ladies to the movies, and they’re all digging to get to his bottom of his popcorn bucket in the middle of his lap now. Bangs, hats off brother.
Die Antwoord – Zef Side
If it wasn’t for the good audio or the clean and clear video quality I would swear this was a fucking joke and when I did get exposed to this, I had a good number of lulz with my (former) girlfriend and her friend over it. Something like that had to be mad jokes and just a gag, there is too much sausage flying around in those Pink Floyd shorts that this video was completely off the wall. Nope. Die Antwood is for real mother fuckers and in another fucked up music video (Enter the Ninja) they even got little TsimFuckis even more mainstream.
Gummibär – I am a Gummy Bear
Did you hear a noise when the video stopped playing? No? Of course you didn’t, because that was the sound of your brain imploding on itself and exploding into red jelly. Are you ready for this as well? That ‘music video’ alone has over 39 million hits. I bet you heard your brain implode that time. Not since Raffe unleashed Banana Phone to the masses has a song been more irritating and retarded. I mean it’s an ad for freaking gummy bears and full of much fail, but it’s so highly viewed some how. I guess someone was very obsessed with seeing a green gummy bear plumbers crack that they forced a good part of the world at gun point to see the video.
