No theme this week, but you’re going to have to check this out. Angry Zen Master Jami got mad props in a recent song by his good buddy Grand Master Chu. Something about them being MASTERS, to which they are. I am just a humble Lord… Lord Awesome! (most of the time). Books! Check it out!
Masters (Angry Zen Master theme song) Eminem “Not Afraid” remix – Grand Master Chu
Not a music video per-say, but it has its own gravitas of awesome. Official AMZ Post.
Two Door Cinema Club – I Can Talk
I wouldn’t say this is the best song they could have used to make a good music video of, I mean it’s well produced and there’s a lots of cool shit happening to make you look past it’s (un?)intentional low-budget style. If I have seen something done like this (exploding into people thingie they have haunting the video) then it’s been a while since I have and I shall try to find another video like that, but suggestions welcomed. And if you’re going to check out their music, The Twelves Remix of ‘Something good can work’. Got a bit of groovy 60s funkalicious happening.
Radiohead – No Surprises
If you’ve ever followed along with Radiohead’s progression as a band moving from the early 90s to today, this would be typical Radiohead music video. Something odd, something unusual to be done. And sticking your head into a fish bowl, have it fill up while you’re singing is definitely something Radiohead would have as a music video.
Daft Punk – Around the World
Hey remember that Chemical Brothers Star Guitar video I put into my first post? Remember how it was crazy in sync with the music playing? Something seems familiar now eh? Well it would mostly be because that this is again another Michel Gondry mad artist director production and this is well before his Star Guitar work. Same idea different application and I bet the choreography was a nightmare for this, not to mention re-shots. But, in the end it combined two awesome forces, Daft Punk and Michel Gondry.
