Another themeless week. Work’s killing me again and I’m a little devoid of inspiration. So I hope these videos are just as inspirational as I am this week. Enjoy.
Terri Clark – Dirty Girl
I wish to assure you that no matter how lazy I actually am I did not actively seek this out. I was sitting in an chinese food place grabbing some chow when I noticed they had CMT (Country Music Television) playing. This video came on and I really couldn’t look away. I mean it’s everything I ever expect a country music video to end up being. There’s a big truck, there’s the chick who sings and drives the big truck, then something crazy is happening on the farm no less. And the Lyrics kind of get me too. Is it odd at one point she sings about a pearl necklace? Fuck this shit is dirty. Never again!
World Order – Machine Civilization
I’m going to let Mr. Genki Sudo’s words speak for this :
The unprecedented disasters unfolding in Japan; earthquakes,
tsunami, and nuclear explosions, will somehow change things to come.
And to send my message about this, I have expressed it here with WORLD
These disasters can be interpreted as a turning point for civilization.
I think that we have arrived at a time of revolution, shared with all
the people of the world, in today’s society, economy, and political
Incidents themselves are neutral.
I believe that every single one of us, wandering through this deep
can overcome anything, if only we let go of our fear, and face the it
all in a positive light.
The world is not going to change. Each one of us will change.
And if we do, then yes, the world will be changed.
It is darkest right before the dawn. Let’s all rise up to welcome the
morning that will be so very bright for mankind.
WE ARE ALL ONE
Badly Drawn Boy – Disillusion
An oldie from way back in the day, but the video is cool. Human taxi dude with a bit of a romance sub plot going on. Another Hammer and Tongs video. They seem to have a knack for making videos that just sort of stick with you years after. This will be one of those lesser known videos and songs that sort of survive time and are still awesome another decade from now.
Benny Benassi – Satisfaction
Who in their right mind thought it was a great idea to make a power tool infomercial for a music video? I mean I want to see something more than power tools being used in very unrealistic conditions and settings. More so they hardly give me any information on them, critical information which is handy when making a choice between models and brands. Worse yet they have all these chicks in the way of my tool viewing pleasure. This is by far the worst of the bunch and I can’t believe I’ve included it this week. Dude’s I’m so sorry if I’ve caused any offense with this last video.
